About this adventure

Liichokoshkomo' ("Let's Play") is the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum's more than 100,000-square-foot outdoor learning and play space in the museum's backyard, built around purposeful play. Children explore a Kiowa tipi, a Puebloan cliff dwelling, a prairie sod house, a trading post, a train depot, a council house, a waterfall and a playground, and load a pioneer wagon to plan a journey west. Hands-on and special-event activities listed by the museum include plotting constellations, grinding corn, dodging a geyser, science experiments and cross-cultural storytellers. Entry is part of general admission, which also covers the indoor galleries such as Prosperity Junction, a walk-through replica turn-of-the-century cattle town with a schoolhouse, depot and shops. The newly renovated National Rodeo Hall of Fame opens to the public November 13, 2026.
