After-hours walking event on a three-quarter-mile path through the Zoo with all-new handcrafted LED lantern scenes: North American wildlife, celestial and space displays, the Polar experience and a parade of traditional Chinese creatures from folklore. Seasonal food and drink for purchase, live music and artisan crafts. Timed entry at 6, 7 or 8 p.m.; everyone may stay until 10 p.m. closing; last admission 9:15 p.m. Special experiences include Santa visits and a family-friendly New Year's Eve countdown (Dec. 31 at 7 & 8 p.m.). Animals are in night habitats and not on view. Rain or shine; no refunds or date exchanges.
