About this adventure

Every Sunday evening in December the Dr. Phillips Center turns Seneff Arts Plaza, the open plaza in front of its theaters on South Magnolia Avenue, into an outdoor cinema for free holiday films. The 2026 line-up is Elf on December 6 (7:45 p.m.), Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer on December 13, The Year Without a Santa Claus on December 20 and a sing-along screening of The Greatest Showman on December 27 (6:30 p.m. starts). No tickets are needed, so families can simply bring blankets or low chairs, settle in on the plaza and make it part of an evening downtown — the lit trees of the Magnolia Avenue holiday stroll lead from the plaza to Lake Eola Park, where Santa, the Grinch and the holiday train run on December weekends. The two older stop-motion classics in the series are short and gentle, which makes the December 13 and 20 nights a good fit for younger children.
