About this adventure

New for 2026, the front of the Orange County Regional History Center, the restored historic courthouse on Heritage Square in downtown Orlando, becomes the screen for a free 10-minute holiday projection show. The show repeats every 15 minutes each night from 5:30 to 10 p.m., so families can arrive whenever suits bedtime and catch a full run without tickets. On three December weekends (Dec. 4–6, 11–13 and 18–20) Heritage Square adds a small holiday market, face painters, glitter tattoos and character visits from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., and the History Center itself stays open late (5–8 p.m.) on Dec. 4–5, 11–12 and 18–19, with free museum admission and special activities during the day on Dec. 12. The square sits on the downtown 'Holiday Stroll', a route of lit trees along Magnolia Avenue that links Lake Eola Park, Heritage Square and the Dr. Phillips Center, so the projection show pairs easily with the Lake Eola tree show, Santa and the holiday train a few blocks away.
