The Museum of Seminole County History in Sanford celebrates the Swedish St. Lucia tradition with a free afternoon festival. Families can visit a children's craft area, watch dance and choral performances and the St. Lucia Processional, buy lunch from food trucks and sample free Swedish desserts and beverages. The event runs from noon to 4 p.m. and is open to the public. It's a gentle, cultural holiday outing that works for all ages, and the museum grounds give kids room to move between performances.
