About this adventure

Downtown Leesburg's holiday Saturday runs from early afternoon into the evening. From 1 pm, Towne Square in front of City Hall becomes a festival with an ice skating rink and a snow slide, a market of handcrafted gifts from local vendors, holiday food and treats, visits with Santa Claus, and a live set by The 789's, a Central Florida cover band playing hits from the 70s, 80s and 90s. As evening falls, the 59th Annual Christmas Parade travels along Main Street at 6 pm with floats, marching groups and holiday displays under this year's theme, "Let It Snow". Admission is free. Families can spend the afternoon at the square, then find a place along Main Street before the parade starts. Parade entries are open to businesses, schools, churches, clubs, community groups and families through the city's online application.
