About this adventure

The City of Leesburg opens its holiday season on the Lake Harris shoreline with Light Up Venetian Gardens at Ski Beach Park, the lakefront section of Venetian Gardens. The evening begins with food from local vendors, bounce houses where kids can burn off energy, and festive face painting, along with a meet and greet with Santa Claus, so bring a camera. At 6:00 pm Santa leads the crowd in a countdown to flip the switch and light Ski Beach Park with thousands of Christmas lights. Once the park is lit, families can pick a spot along the shoreline to watch the Leesburg Christmas Boat Parade, a procession of decorated boats on Lake Harris hosted by the Leesburg Boating Club. The event is free to attend and runs for three hours, which gives young children time to see Santa before the lighting and still catch the boats afterwards.
