About this adventure

The Winter Park Chamber of Commerce hosts the 74th annual Winter Park Ye Olde Hometown Christmas Parade on Park Avenue on Saturday morning, December 5. The chamber says the parade has been held each December for more than 70 years and calls it the oldest continuous holiday parade in Central Florida. The route starts at Cole Avenue and proceeds south on Park Avenue, ending at Lyman Avenue, and the parade is scheduled from 9:00 to 10:30 am. More than 80 organizations take part, including marching bands, local police and fire departments, scouting groups and local dignitaries, and Santa Claus appears in the parade. The chamber's page lists no tickets or spectator fee. Its registration link is only for groups that want to march in the parade; those entry applications closed on October 9, and later applications go to a waitlist. Questions go to the chamber office, whose phone and email are on the page.
