About this adventure
When Philadelphia-area schools are closed on Monday November 16, Philly Skate Plex opens for an extra day of public roller skating at a day-off price. Sessions run from noon to 5 pm and again from 6:30 to 9 pm, and admission is only $3, with skate rental $6, so it is an inexpensive way to keep school-age children and teens moving on a day off. Parents can skate along or watch from the cafe, which serves pizza, nachos and soft pretzels.
