Center City District

Center City's outdoor rink sits on the Dilworth Park fountain plaza on the west side of City Hall, which turns into an ice rink each winter. Skating is sold in timed 90-minute sessions with 30-minute breaks for ice care; the queue opens 15 minutes before each session. Booking ahead is recommended, with limited walk-up sales on site. Rental skates run from kids' size 9 to men's size 14, and Penguin skate aids can be rented by the hour for young or wobbly skaters. Families can bring their own skates and pay admission only. Lockers can be added at checkout; staff do not store shoes. From January 4 to February 21, 2027, children and adults with physical or developmental disabilities can reserve a skating sled (free for the sled user and one accompanying adult). Around the rink, the Rothman Orthopaedics Cabin serves winter food and drinks, the Wintergarden on the Greenfield Lawn has lights and seating, and holiday market stalls run through January 1. Restrooms are inside City Hall.
