Butterfly Wonderland at Arizona Boardwalk in Scottsdale is a rainforest conservatory home to thousands of butterflies from around the world. Children can walk among free-flying butterflies, watch live chrysalides in the emergence gallery, see rainforest reptiles and a 3D movie about the Monarch migration. Free-with-admission talks give a reason to time the visit: koi feedings every morning in the conservatory, reptile and amphibian feedings (Mondays 11 AM hingeback tortoises, Fridays 1 PM mata mata turtle, Sundays 2 PM axolotls), and stingray and shark feedings every Saturday and Sunday at the Tropical Waters observation pool. Open daily 9 AM to 5 PM (hours subject to change). Admission: adults (13+) $33.95, children (2–12) $23.95. It sits next to OdySea Aquarium and other Boardwalk attractions, so many families combine visits.
