About this adventure

Chef Krystal runs a drop-in cooking session in the museum's KIDchen, mixing Halloween with Mexican and Southwest foodways: children build their own spiderweb tostadas and talk about the traditions behind the dish, part of the museum's Hispanic Heritage programming. The activity also touches on patterns and 'edible engineering'. No sign-up is needed; a limited number of guests is let in every 15 to 20 minutes, so expect a short wait at busy times. Allergens listed by the museum are corn, black beans and pepitas. Included with museum admission.
