A Halloween edition of Cave Creek Regional Park's Lunch and Learn: in the Nature Center's air-conditioned classroom, Ranger Nikki busts myths about snakes, tarantulas, scorpions, vultures and other misunderstood desert animals using a slideshow, preserved specimens, skins, skulls and a live critter or two. Activity sheets and coloring pages are available for kids, and families are welcome to bring a bag lunch or snack. One hour; no registration. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring water if hiking before or after.
