About this adventure
A free two-hour engineering class for ages 12 to 16 at HD SOUTH, Gilbert's history museum. Teens assemble a modular battery-powered electric dragster with an Arduino board, motor controller, DC motor and servo, then write a simple program on a laptop to control it, upload it and tune it until the car runs an obstacle course as fast as possible. Participants keep the dragster they build. No experience is needed. Registration is required, and the class only runs with at least five participants. Funded by a grant from SRP's San Tan Generating Station.
