About this adventure
Christian Youth Theater Phoenix, a theater-training program for kids and teens, stages The Wizard of Oz in the Royal Shakespeare Company adaptation by John Kane, which keeps the film's score and story and adds digital design effects. Young performers fill every role, so it suits families looking for an affordable first musical and children who might want to try theater themselves. Seven performances over two weekends in Mesa Arts Center's Piper Repertory Theater: Friday evenings at 7:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2:00 pm, and a Saturday evening show on January 23. Tickets are $37 all-in; lap children 2 and under are free. Public sales open December 1, 2026 at noon (donor and cast-family presales come first).
