WinterFest turns the Avondale Civic Center into a winter wonderland for one Saturday evening. The free event includes selfies with Santa (bring your own camera or phone), stage entertainment and family activities, food and sweet treats, the city's annual tree lighting and the premiere of the Avondazzle holiday light show on the City Christmas Tree. It runs four hours, so families with young children can come early for Santa and stay for the lighting. The city asks visitors not to climb on the art or displays. The 2026 entertainment schedule, activity list and event map are marked as coming soon on the event page, so check back closer to the date.
