About this adventure

The BVA Boosters hold a Thanksgiving morning 5K run and a 5K walk at North Belle Vernon Community Park to benefit Belle Vernon Area middle school and high school sports teams. Runners and walkers of all ages are invited. Prizes go to the best dressed, the person who traveled the farthest, and the youngest and oldest participants, along with overall and age-group finish awards. A Chinese auction is part of the morning, and The White Barn Coffee Truck is scheduled to be there. The course loops through North Belle Vernon with a few small hills. Registration begins before the start. Parking is at Duritza's Market on Henry Street and in the lower lot of St. Sebastian Church across the street, plus street parking in town. The race address is the community park. Families can walk the 5K instead of running it. The listing does not describe a separate short kids' dash. Shirts are not mentioned in the portion of the description that was saved. Both the run and the walk use the same fee, with a higher amount on race morning.
