About this adventure

New Castle Regional Ballet marks the 40th annual production of its Nutcracker with one public performance at the historic Scottish Rite Cathedral in New Castle on Sunday afternoon, December 6. The ballet tells the story of Clara, whose toy Nutcracker comes to life on Christmas Eve and leads her through the Land of Snow and the Kingdom of Sweets, set to Tchaikovsky's score. A 2 p.m. matinee is a comfortable first ballet for young children who are not used to evening performances. Tickets are sold online through the Cathedral's box office. The company's anniversary weekend also includes a Friday-morning performance reserved for school groups, a reception and an alumni class, which are not part of this public show.
