About this adventure
Historic Harmony marks Silvester, German New Year's Eve, at 6:00 PM, which is midnight in Germany, with a family-focused celebration for its 20th anniversary. The afternoon starts with a 5K at 3:30 PM on Mercer Street across from the Harmony Museum, a 1 Mile Fun Run at 4:15 PM from Wood Street across from the Harmony Inn, and, new this year, a Diaper Dash at 5:15 PM inside the Grace Church Gymnasium. At 6 PM everyone counts down in German to a ball drop, followed by fireworks and Auld Lang Syne. Vendors and a Christmas tree and wreath toss round out the evening. Day-of registration and changing rooms are in the Grace Church gym from 2 PM; early packet pickup is December 30, 4–7 PM. The event goes ahead except in blizzard conditions.
