About this adventure

The Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra's annual holiday concert fills Greensburg's Palace Theatre on the Saturday before Christmas. The full orchestra is joined by the All-Star Choir of Westmoreland County and special guests, conducted by Andrés Franco, for an evening of favorite seasonal music and carols that the orchestra calls a Greensburg tradition. The Westmoreland Cultural Trust lists it under its Family and Holiday categories, and it suits families with school-age children who can sit through an evening concert; it makes a good first orchestra outing because the program is built from music children already know from the season. Seats are sold at several price levels, so families can pick a less expensive section. Tickets for this concert are sold by the Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra itself, not by the Palace Theatre box office, either through the orchestra's performances page or by phone. Plan extra time for parking in downtown Greensburg on a busy December Saturday evening.
