On Veterans Day the Oregon Zoo offers free admission to active military members, veterans and their families. Each active military member or veteran can receive up to three additional complimentary tickets (four tickets total), and families of deployed military personnel are also admitted free. Tickets must be reserved online in advance: select an entry time and scroll to the bottom of the ticket page for the Veterans Day option. On arrival, show a military or veteran organization ID, discharge papers or other official military identification; families of deployed personnel must show an active duty ID. The zoo is open 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The offer cannot be combined with other discounts, including membership. A good day for military families with children to see the animals together.
