About this adventure
The Dr. M.T. Pope House Museum, a City-run historic house in downtown Raleigh, unveils a new permanent exhibit on the experiences of Black physicians in the 20th-century South, featuring original items from the museum's Pope Collection. The opening day is free, open to all ages and needs no registration, so families can drop in any time between 10 and 4. It is a good, short history outing for school-age children and teens studying North Carolina or Black history; younger children may enjoy the old doctor's tools and house.
