About this adventure

Knightdale's Christmas Parade comes down First Avenue on Saturday morning, Dec 12, 2026, starting at 10 am, with festive floats, marching bands, local performers and Santa himself bringing up the rear. The route runs along First Avenue from near Knightdale Station Run to just before Smithfield Road, beside Knightdale Station Park, and a morning parade is easy to fit around naps and the rest of a Saturday. Food trucks set up for the crowd, including coffee, doughnuts and concessions. Families may bring lawn chairs, bag chairs, blankets and personal coolers without alcohol; tents, lawn umbrellas, grills and fireworks are not allowed. Streets close from 7 or 9 am and reopen by about 1 pm, and curbside parking on the closed roads is banned from Friday night, with towing enforced. General parking is in the areas around First Avenue, and the Knightdale Station Park lots nearest the playground stay open, with one reserved for accessible parking, reached via Wilder Nursery Trail while First Avenue is closed. The parade is free to watch.
