About this adventure

On the two weekends before Christmas, Santa sets up a small workshop in downtown Smithfield beside the Johnston County Courthouse on 3rd Street, where children can stop in to visit him, share their Christmas wishes and make sure they are on the nice list. The workshop, provided by a local business, is open on Friday evenings, Saturday late mornings and Sunday afternoons, so families can fit a visit around school and church, or pair it with other downtown Smithfield Christmas events such as the Christmas parade on Saturday, December 12, carriage rides past the decorated storefronts and the downtown cocoa crawl. Bring a camera for photos and a written wish list for younger children. Visits are walk-up during the posted hours; dress warmly because the line may be outdoors.
