About this adventure

The 47th annual Cary Jaycees Christmas Parade rolls through downtown Cary on Saturday afternoon, Dec 12, 2026, from 2 to 4 pm. Marching bands, mascots, floats from local businesses, community groups and churches make their way from East Chatham Street at Ward Street, along East Chatham to South Academy Street, then turn left down Academy and finish at Dry Avenue in front of the Cary Arts Center, beside Downtown Cary Park. Watching is free, and an afternoon slot makes it easier for families with toddlers than an evening parade. There is no designated parade parking: spectators can use any of the Town of Cary public parking areas, but no parking is allowed along the route on East Chatham or South Academy, and those streets plus Ward, Hunter, East Cedar and part of Dry Avenue close from 1 to 4 pm. Pick a spot along Academy Street near the park so children can head to the playground afterward. WRAL plans to live-stream the parade for anyone watching from home.
