About this adventure
Organized by the Apex Rotary Club on the first Saturday of December, this is the only nighttime holiday parade in Wake County: floats and marchers light up historic Salem Street in downtown Apex after dark. Proceeds benefit local charities, primarily Western Wake Crisis Ministry. Parking near Salem, Hunter, Center, Chatham and Seaboard streets is restricted, so consider the GoApex Route 1 bus, which runs an alternate route 1–10 pm; limited accessible parking is behind Apex Fire Station 1. Rain or shine — bring layers and a blanket for children.
