About this adventure
The 82nd ABC11 Raleigh Christmas Parade, organized by the Greater Raleigh Merchants Association and presented by Shop Local Raleigh, bills itself as the largest Christmas parade between Atlanta and Washington, D.C. It steps off at 9:30 am from Hillsborough Street at St. Mary's Street, passes the State Capitol, turns onto Salisbury, Morgan and Fayetteville streets and disbands at Lenoir Street — about 1.4 miles and roughly two and a half hours of parade units. Watching from the curb is free; arrive early with chairs or blankets for a spot along Fayetteville Street, and dress little ones warmly for a November morning. It is also broadcast live on ABC11 from 9:30 am to noon.
