About this adventure

Downtown Fuquay-Varina's annual Christmas Parade, hosted by the town's Writing, Music, and Film Society, rolls through the Downtown Fuquay district on a Sunday afternoon in early December. A late-afternoon start makes it an easy parade for families with young children: you can watch the floats, bands, community groups and Santa in daylight or at dusk and still be home for dinner. Bring folding chairs or a blanket, arrive early for a curbside spot along Main Street, and expect road closures in the downtown area during the parade. The parade caps a weekend of holiday events downtown that begins with the Town Tree Lighting on Thursday, December 3 and the Downtown Association's First Friday on December 4.
