City of Corona Park Rangers and volunteers lead a strenuous morning hike on the Green River Ranch Trail and talk about the nocturnal wildlife that lives in Southern California's local habitat and the role these animals play. Young hikers age 5 and up may join with their parents; the group sets the pace, and families should plan to be out on the trail for at least two hours. Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. and the hike starts at 8:00 a.m. Bring your own water bottle, sunscreen and hiking clothes: a hat, slip-resistant boots and walking sticks are recommended, sandals are not allowed, and binoculars are optional. Dogs must stay home. Every hiker completes a waiver of liability (parents sign for anyone under 18), and registered hikers receive a confirmation email on Wednesday, October 21. Registration opened September 1 through the City of Corona recreation system.
