Broadway Sacramento stages the musical version of A Christmas Carol at the UC Davis Health Pavilion, the Music Circus theater at 1419 H Street, from December 11 to 20, 2026. The score is by Alan Menken and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, the songwriters behind Disney's Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid (Menken) and Seussical (Ahrens), and the production is billed as the Broadway At Music Circus premiere of this adaptation. The story follows Ebenezer Scrooge from "Bah! Humbug!" to "Happy Christmas!" and celebrates kindness, generosity and redemption. There are 12 performances: evenings at 7:30 p.m. and matinees at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday. The December 11 show is open captioned, the December 19 matinee is audio described, and the December 20 matinee is sign interpreted. Children under four, including infants, will not be admitted. Broadway Sacramento posts a content guide to help families decide whether the show suits their children. Ticket prices are not printed on the show page; tickets are sold through Broadway Sacramento's own website and box office.
