The Woodland Opera House stages the musical Annie over three weekends, November 13–29, 2026, in its historic theater on Second Street in downtown Woodland. The show follows the orphan Annie, who escapes Miss Hannigan's New York City orphanage in the 1930s, befriends President Franklin D. Roosevelt and finds a new family with billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his secretary Grace Farrell and the dog Sandy. The score by Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin, with a book by Thomas Meehan, includes "Tomorrow"; the original won seven Tony Awards including Best Musical. Angela Baltezore directs and choreographs, with music direction by Joshua Wheeler. Performance times: week 1, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.; week 2, Thursday and Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 2 and 7:30 p.m., Sunday at 2 p.m.; week 3 (Thanksgiving weekend), Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 2 and 7:30 p.m., Sunday at 2 p.m. Weekend matinees suit younger children.
