The International Railfair Model Train Show fills 28,000 square feet of Buildings C and D at Cal Expo with model railroad layouts and vendors. Several operating layouts run in Z, N, HO and G scales, and representatives of model railroad clubs show what they do. For children there is a Children's layout where kids can run the train, plus coloring tables with free souvenir International Railfair crayon sets while supplies last. West Coast Railroaders bring their full-size railroad motorcars. Hours are 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday, November 14 and 10 am to 4 pm on Sunday, November 15. Children 12 and under get in free; Saturday general admission for ages 13 and up is $12 and is good for both days, Sunday adult admission is $10, and parking is $10.
