City of Woodland (presented by Dignity Health, benefiting Yolo Food Bank)

The City of Woodland hosts its Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 26, 2026, starting and finishing at the Woodland Community and Senior Center, with proceeds supporting Yolo Food Bank. Families with young children have their own distance: a 1K (0.62 mile) Family Run/Walk that starts at 8:20 a.m., alongside a 5K at 8:10 a.m. and a 10K at 8:00 a.m.; a virtual 5K is also offered for those who want to trot in their own neighborhood. Strollers are allowed on every route and children riding in strollers do not need their own entry. Organizers ask participants to arrive at least an hour early. Everyone who registers before November 1 gets a short-sleeved T-shirt and finisher medal; later entrants get them first come, first served on race morning. Race-day registration is available at a late price, with a separate youth rate for ages 0 to 17. Pets are not allowed on the course, though leashed pets may wait at the registration area. Parking is limited at the center and at nearby Woodland Christian School, so plan on street parking. Water stations are at the center and along the course.
