- Sacramento Public Library with UC Sacramento County Master Gardeners
UC Sacramento County Master Gardeners visit the Galt–Marian O. Lawrence Library for two back-to-back programs. From 11:00 to 12:00 children learn about composting and the role worms play in breaking down food and garden waste. From 12:00 to 1:00 the volunteers give a talk for adults on fruit trees and pruning. Library books on both topics are available, and visitors can also swap plants. Families can come for the children's hour and stay for the plant swap; no registration is listed.
