The Fair Oaks Ranch Police Department's free community Trunk or Treat on the Saturday before Halloween at Van Raub Elementary School. Kids trick-or-treat along a line of decorated trunks from local businesses, groups and neighbors, and there are vendors, games, music from a live DJ and prize drawings throughout the night. There is a kid-friendly haunted house that the organizers describe as perfect even for the littlest goblins, and a dunk tank for the brave. It runs 6–8 pm on Saturday, October 24 and is a free family event for all ages; costumes encouraged.
