San Antonio Zoo's not-scary Halloween celebration (40th year) runs daily with free trick-or-treating from 4 to 5 pm, themed food, live entertainment, interactive animal experiences, a DJ every Saturday and spider encounters in the John and Greli Less Spider Rainforest. New for 2026 is Fiesta de los Muertos, a Día de los Muertos-inspired area with three themed realms, face painting and an ofrenda for beloved animals. Halloween features extended hours until 9 pm.
