About this adventure
The Fairmont Grand Del Mar resort lights its 25-foot holiday tree at its Grand Social venue on the Monday after Thanksgiving. The tree lighting itself is at 6:30 pm, within an evening that runs from 5:00 to 10:00 pm. Santa and friends are on hand to meet children, dancers perform, and guests can try Glice skating (charged separately) along with holiday food and drinks. Admission is a per-person ticket booked in advance through the resort's reservation link, and children 3 and under are free. Families can arrive any time after 5 pm and stay for the 6:30 lighting.
