About this adventure

Elf The Musical plays the San Diego Civic Theatre over New Year week in an all-new touring production based on the 2024 Broadway staging, part of the Broadway San Diego series. Inspired by the hit film, the musical follows Buddy, a young orphan whose life changes when he crawls into Santa's sack of toys one Christmas Eve. When he discovers he is human, he sets off for New York City to find his birth father and ends up helping the city rediscover the true meaning of Christmas. The run has eight performances from Tuesday, December 29 to Sunday, January 3, including matinees at 2:00 PM on Saturday and 1:00 PM on Sunday, the easiest picks for younger children, and evening shows on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Everyone needs their own ticket, whatever their age. Tickets are sold only through the theater's website, Ticketmaster and the Civic Theatre ticket office. The venue is cashless, asks guests to arrive an hour early for security, limits bags to 12 x 6 x 12 inches and does not allow photography during the show.
