Poway Library celebrates Filipino American History Month with an afternoon of culture for families. Samahan Filipino American Performing Arts and the Filipino American Cultural Organization perform traditional dances, followed by a martial arts demonstration by Doce Pares. Visitors can also play mahjong, learn to weave leaves into a headband, sing karaoke and sample traditional snacks. The two-hour Sunday program (1–3 p.m.) is listed for kids and adults, making it a good multigenerational outing.
