Teens aged 13 to 17 can make a flower crown in honour of Día de Muertos at the Teen Zone of the Oceanside Civic Center Library on Monday, November 2, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. The library invites teens to bring their families and friends along, and all materials are provided, using artificial flowers, so nothing needs to be bought in advance. The hour-long craft is a hands-on way to take part in the Day of the Dead tradition of decorating with marigolds and bright blooms, and the finished crowns can be worn to community celebrations that week. The same afternoon the library shows Coco for younger children at its Movie Monday, which is listed separately. The calendar entry does not mention registration or a fee.
