County Park rangers visit the Valley Center Library on the second Friday of each month for an hour of nature stories, live critters and touch tables. Children can meet the rangers' rosy boa and tarantula, explore interactive displays and pick up tips about nearby parks and upcoming outdoor events. The 11 a.m. timing works well for preschoolers and homeschooled kids with a caregiver. Sessions in this window are Nov 13, Dec 11 and Jan 8.
