A gentle ranger-led walk of 1 to 2 miles through the trail system of San Dieguito County Park. Along the way the ranger covers the history of the land and points out native plants and animals, and the group crosses a suspension bridge and climbs the park's lookout towers for elevated views, highlights that tend to delight younger hikers. The walk meets at the wooden information kiosk inside the gate at the upper entrance and lasts about an hour on the first Saturday morning of the month. Inclement weather may cancel; parking is $5.
