About this adventure
In this 90-minute beginner handbuilding class, children 8 and up make their own plate for Santa's cookies, decorating it with holiday shapes, patterns and details so it can come out every Christmas Eve. An instructor demonstrates the week's techniques, then each participant gets clay and tools to shape, build and add details at their own pace; no experience is needed. Participants choose a glaze at the end, and the museum's team glazes and fires the piece, ready for pickup about four weeks later, which lands the plate home before Christmas. All materials are included and clothes may get dirty. Book ahead through the ticket portal; a CLAYTOGETHER promo code discounts additional seats for families booking together.
