The California Center for the Arts, Escondido Foundation turns its campus into a free Winter Wonderland for two afternoons. Children can play in a real-snow area and build snowmen, have pictures taken with an Old World Santa, and watch an original holiday show by Loud Fridge Theatre Group at 1:30, 2:45 and 4:00 p.m. both days. The Escondido Choral Arts Foundation Children's Choir performs on Saturday, with roaming carolers on Sunday. Other activities: two floating bubble domes for kids, a holiday craft by Esco Alley Art, free holiday face painting and airbrush tattoos, and Santa's Reindeer Scavenger Hunt, where kids find all nine reindeer around campus and return the map for a prize. There is also a holiday artisan market and food trucks.
