On Monday, November 16, Coronado Public Library replaces its usual baby storytime with a special 30-minute sound bath for babies and their grown-ups. Soft crystal bowls, chimes, drum and gong sounds create a calm space where parents and little ones lie down, slow down and connect; the library notes that sound healing can support babies' sensory development, nervous-system regulation, sleep and emotional bonding. The session is aimed at infants to age 2, though all children and adults are welcome. Families are asked to dress comfortably, wear shoes that are easy to remove, bring blankets or bolsters to lie on, and eat a light meal and drink water beforehand. It starts at 11:00 a.m. in the library on Orange Avenue; regular Baby Storytime resumes on Monday, November 23. The calendar lists no registration or fee.
