On the third Friday of each month the San Diego Astronomy Association brings telescopes to the West Sycamore Staging Area at the end of Stonebridge Parkway in Scripps Ranch (part of Mission Trails Regional Park). Viewing begins at dusk; park on the paved street and walk past the gate into the park where telescopes are set up. Rain or cloudy skies cancel. A relaxed way for families in the northern suburbs to look at the Moon, planets and star clusters.
