Teen Zine Scene is a monthly hands-on workshop at Escondido Public Library where teens write, design and self-publish their own mini-magazines. Participants learn what makes a zine and how to put one together, then share it with friends and the community; finished zines can be displayed in the library's Teen Area and designated zine space. Sessions take place in the Activities Space on the main library's first floor on Wednesday, October 28 (4:30 to 6:30 p.m.), Wednesday, November 25 (2:30 p.m., the library closes early that day) and Wednesday, December 23 (4:30 p.m.). It suits teens who like drawing, writing, collage or comics, and the Friends of the Escondido Public Library sponsor the materials. The calendar lists no registration or fee.
