Over the winter school break the Children's Museum of Discovery in Escondido runs Winter Camp on seven weekdays: December 21 to 23 and December 28 to 31. Campers aged 4 to 8 spend the days exploring the wonder of the changing seasons, using hands-on activities and crafts to learn why the weather differs so much through the year. Every camp day runs from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and includes access to the museum's exhibits, hands-on exploration led by trained education staff and the chance to make new friends. Families can book the days that fit their holiday plans as listed on the museum's camp page. The museum building is on North Broadway in downtown Escondido, close to Grape Day Park. Fees are not printed in the calendar listing.
