On Open Cockpit Day, Saturday, December 26, 2026 (10 a.m. to noon), the Hiller Aviation Museum opens the doors and canopies of aircraft that are normally closed so visitors can sit inside and try the controls. Planes listed include the Grumman HU-16 Albatross, a Fokker Dr.1 'Red Baron', Boeing 737-100 and 747, Cessna 177 Cardinal, Aero L-39 and several helicopters. It is a good winter-break outing for kids who love planes. Included with museum admission; members are free.
