About this adventure

The Pacific Pinball Museum on Webster Street in Alameda is a hands-on museum where admission includes all-day unlimited free play on more than 100 classic pinball machines; no coins are needed. The games fill five rooms arranged chronologically by decade, so children and parents can compare early wood-rail machines with the electronic games of later years. There are also in-depth exhibits, self-guided tours, S.T.E.A.M. exhibits that explain how the machines work, original artwork, and jukeboxes set to free play. It suits school-age kids and teens best; younger children may need a step stool and help with the flippers. A family pass covers two adults and two youth aged 5–17. The museum is open late most days, which makes it an easy rainy-evening outing. It closes on Mondays for game repairs and on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.
